Online applications are invited from bonafide citizens of India for selection of candidates for recruitment to 39 (thirty-nine) nos. permanent posts of Sub-Inspector of Excise for Excise Organization (Group-C, Non-Gazetted) under Finance Department, Government of Tripura in the scale of Pay Rs. 5,700-24,000/-, Grade Pay of Rs. 4,200/-, Level - 10 of Tripura State Pay Matrix, 2018 per month, subject to revision by the Government from time to time.

🎓 Educational Qualifications:

  1. Essential Qualification:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Science from a recognized University.
    However, B.E., B.Tech degree holders are also eligible.

  2. Desirable:
    Knowledge in Bengali or Kok-borok.

  3. Age Limit:
    Up to 40 years as on 14.04.2025.
    Upper age limit relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/PH/Govt. Servants.
    (Note: Govt. servants won’t get double relaxation.)

  4. Must possess Permanent Resident Certificate of Tripura (PRTC) as per GA(P&T) Notification dated 07.07.2023.

📝 Selection Procedure:

Selection will be based on two stages:

  1. Written Examination – 130 Marks (3 hours)

  2. Interview / Personality Test – 20 Marks
    (To assess leadership, social traits, judgment, depth of interest, etc.)

A. MCQ Part – 90 Marks

  • G.K. & C.A. – 40 Marks

  • Simple Arithmetic – 10 Marks

  • General Science – 10 Marks

  • Aptitude – 15 Marks

  • General English – 15 Marks
    (Negative marking as per Commission decision)

B. Conventional Part – 40 Marks

  • Report/Letter Writing – 20 Marks

  • Essay/Paragraph Writing – 20 Marks
